In 2021, the number of reported crashes rose to 3,850, and 140 of those were fatal, giving a fatality rate of approximately 3.64%. By 2022, 4,000 motorcycle accidents were reported statewide, and 150 of them led to fatalities, increasing the estimated rate to 3.75%.
